A luxury bathroom seller based in Middlesbrough has made the Sunday Times Fast Track list.
Lusso Stone, owned by Teesside-born entrepreneur Wayne Spriggs, has been placed among the fastest-growing firms in the UK after seeing an impressive sales rise of 89.7% over three years.
The Marton firm has been featured on the elite annual Fast Track list, alongside an eclectic mix including gin distilleries, solar panel firms, jewellery brands and children’s toiletries manufacturers.
The exclusive league table, compiled every year, ranks the 100 firms with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years.
Lusso Stone came in at number 27.
Latest figures for Lusso Stone to the year ending September 2019 show the firm achieved sales of £12.56m.
It counts five-star London hotels Claridge’s and The Connaught – and the opulent Sugar Beach Residencies in St Lucia – among the fans of its super high-end handcrafted bathroom suites.
It was named one of Britain’s fastest-growing exporters last year.
Rapid success, particularly across the pond, saw Mr Spriggs move from Middlesbrough to the US to be better placed for expansion into the Mexican and Canadian markets for 2020.
Reusable bottle brand Chilly’s Bottles, based in London, took the top spot on this year’s list.
Newcastle designer menswear retailer END and Tyne & Wear heating and plumbing merchant Flame were the other North-east entries.
